The Challenges Uganda 2025 Impact Report

Building a More Resilient and Inclusive Enterprise Ecosystem: The Challenges Uganda 2025 Impact Report

The Challenges Uganda 2025 Impact Report highlights a year defined by collaboration, practical support, and system‑level change. Throughout 2025, our team worked closely with entrepreneurs across Uganda — listening, learning, and co‑creating solutions that strengthen businesses and the wider ecosystem they rely on.

Our Work With Entrepreneurs

Through programmes such as Anyim Maber, 10X, RISE/E, NSSF Hi Innovator, iKnowFarm, and ACE Delivers, we supported women and men, young people, refugees, and persons with disabilities to:

  • Improve financial management
  • Access finance and investment opportunities
  • Build resilience in changing markets
  • Strengthen operations for sustainable growth

These interventions helped entrepreneurs navigate challenges, unlock opportunities, and build stronger, more sustainable enterprises.

Strengthening the Ecosystem

In 2025, we expanded our focus beyond individual enterprise support. We worked with financial institutions, policymakers, and ecosystem actors to address structural barriers and co‑design:

  • More inclusive financial products
  • Supportive policies
  • Practical mechanisms that improve how the ecosystem functions

This collaborative approach is helping create an environment where entrepreneurs — especially women, youth, refugees, and persons with disabilities — can start, grow, and scale their businesses.

We are deeply grateful to the entrepreneurs who trust us, the partners and funders who collaborate with us, and the ecosystem actors who allowed us to be part of this journey.
